I finished this block last week.
Thank you for all the suggestions for the vase fabric. The red was the most popular suggestion, so I went with it.
No more sewing is going to happen here for a while. I need to keep resting my elbow.
Here are a few photos from my garden today.
Have a great week everyone! :)
Gorgeous!!! I love the red vase. I hope your elbow gets better soon!

Both the flowers in your block and your garden are beautiful. Lots of rest for that elbow. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous block! I also enjoyed your flower photographs.
ReplyDeleteMiriam, your block is gorgeous! I just love your color selections. They make your block stand out from other versions of this same block. Can't wait to see the next one!
ReplyDeleteRest well and take care of yourself. Beautiful flowers - so many colors I see in your block. Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteour vase turned out great! Love the red. Your flowers still look happy - mine look hot and tired -
ReplyDeletehave a great week
Oh Daphne, I love it so much and miss having it in the garden. Love the red vase, I hope you're happy with the block, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteWonderful block! The red just looks stunning and I love the flowers too. Our trees, flowers, shrubs and plants are just about all burnt up from the heat, so it's a treat to see yours, thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block and flowers. My flowers are winding down here. Although one of my orchids is still blooming.
ReplyDeleteYour block is beautiful - love your use of fabric. I understand having to rest from handwork. I few years ago I saw a physical therapist about my elbows. She worked with me on my posture and gave me stretching and strengthening exercises. She suggested I see a massage therapist. What a great excuse! I go every 2 weeks and it is wonderful. I rarely have pain in my elbows now and when I do it is mild and I recover much more quickly. I still have some issues with my hands - I think arthritis is settling in - I'm 50 now - but I feel so much better than I did before PT and MT.
ReplyDeleteAll these flowers are blooming at the same time?!?! How lovely!
Your work is perfection. What a gorgeous block.
ReplyDeleteYour Roseville block is just beautiful, and I really like the red vase as well. Your Morrell Quilt is just fantastic.
ReplyDeleteOH, it is perfect. I clicked on it to make it bigger so I could see the detail. Love it and all the real flower photos. Now rest that arm and get better.
