This is Eliza Whiteside's block.
There is a wonderful story behind this block. Sharon has written about Eliza on her
blog. For each of the blocks Sharon has done lots of research into family history to find out more about the maker of each block. This solid connection to the past is one of the things that makes this such a great quilt to work on.
Three weeks today till May 1st and block 10. :)
This block looks great, love the pattern on the fabric - what is it? Can't wait to do this block but I've run out of freezer paper & can't get to a shop until the weekend :(
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Do you just get one block a month to work on?
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I like the red fabric you have chosen. Sharon does do a wonderful job with the history behind this quilt.
ReplyDeleteOooo pretty block :0) It's going to be fun watching this quilt grow.

Your CCC block #9 really looks great! You are very speedy! I also just saw that you have already cut out the pattern I sent and it is ready to sew. It looks like the same lovely red as CCC block. I can't wait to see what you do with it! Have fun!
