Yay, I did it!!!!

Paper piecing!!!

I have procrastinated over this for a long time. Finally, I tried this afternoon using a set of instructions I wrote while I watched someone else do a demonstration. I actually got it to work!!!! It wasn't that difficult really and I now I don't know why I waited so long! lol.

The photo is of a practice piece. Now to try it again on fabric for a Morrell quilt block.

I didn't post a photo of any flowers this morning, so here are some grape hyacinths flowering right now in my garden. I love that shade of blue! (excuse the weeds!! haha)

  1. I love Paper piecing and some even call it Foundation piecing. I dont care what its called as I know that it makes my points sooooo pointy and precise that I love it!! Keep practicing and you will be totally amazed at what you can do :)

  13. paper piecing, flip and sew, foundation - so many names for it -- I don't mind doing a little of it but it is not something I care for and why I started using that method to use up some scraps is beyond me I will have to force myself to get busy on it when I get back home to my sewing machine :)
